General English :-
The aim of the paper is to test the candidate’s ability to read and understand serious discursive prose and to express his ideas clearly and correctly in English. The pattern of questions should broadly include the following with graduate standard.
- Comprehension of given passage
- Usage and Vocabulary
- Questions to test knowledge of grammar
Odia Language : –
( The questions shall be of graduate standard to test the following )
- Comprehension of a given passage
- usage and Vocabulary
- Translation from English to Oriya
General Studies :-
- The Questions shall test general awareness of the candidates of a variety of subjects covering various fields of knowledge as expected from any graduate.
- General science and recent scientific/technological developments
- Current events of National and International Importance.
- Questions shall be to test the knowledge of significant National and International events of the topics of social relevance in the present day India.
- History of Indian from ancient times and Indian National Movement
- Important dates of Indian History
- Indian and World Geography ( Emphasis will more be on geography of India)
- Indian Polity and economy (Political system, constitution of India, panchayat Raj & Indian Economy)
- Mental ability test of reasoning ( Non verbal & verbal)
- Numerical ability and Arithmetic of H.S.C Standard
- Basic computer Literacy
Technical Paper ( Only for station Officer) :-
Questions of +3 Standard from Physics and Chemistry Only.
