Plan Of Examination :- 

1. Main Written Exam.
2. Physical Test
3. viva-voce test

Main Written Examination :- 

1. Paper -I ( Language Paper) – 100 Marks (90 Minutes)
2. paper – II ( General Awareness) – 100 Marks ( 90 Minutes)

Language Paper – 1 (Objective type) – 100 Marks

1. General English (MCQ Type) – 50 marks
2. Odia Language ( 50 marks ) – 50 marks

General Awareness ( Objective type) – 100 marks

1. General Knowledge – 50 Marks
2. Reasoning, Aptitude and computer Awareness – 50 marks 

Physical Efficiency Test for Civil Defence Instructor For Men all Categories :- 

1. Running 1.6 K.M in 8 Minutes
2. Cycling 1.6 Kms. In 5 Minutes
3. Long Jump of 3.66 Meters in Length in three attempts
4. Cross Country 5 kms within 40 minutes
5. Running over low hurdles of 77 Cm heights, 100 meters with 10 flights  in 25 seconds
6. High jump – 1.22 meter in 3 chances
7. Swimming – 100 meters
8. Rope Climbing – Candidate will be required to Climb up to height of 6 Meters from the ground level using his hands only in 3 seconds 
9. Test for detecting of acrophobia by ladder climbing up to 8 meters from the ground level in 3 chances only 

For Women of all Categories :- 

1. Running 1.6 K.Ms in 10 Minutes
2. Cycling 1.6 Kms. In 7 Minutes
3. Long Jump of 2.77 Meters in Length in three attempts
4. Cross-Country – 4 kms within 40 Minutes 
5. running over low hurdles of 77 cm heights, 80 meters with 10 flights in 25 seconds
6. High Jump – 1 meter in 3 Chances
7. Swimming – 100 meters
8. Rope Climbing – Candidate will be required to climb up to height 5 meters from the ground level using his hands only  in 3 chances 
9. Test for detecting of acrophobia by ladder climbing up to 8 meters from the ground level in 3 chances only 

Physical efficiency test for S.I of Excise :- 

For Men of all Categories :- 

1. Running 1600 meter in 8 Minutes
2. cycling 1600 meter in  5 Minutes (on Road) 
3. Low Hurdles in 80 CM height 100 meters with 10 flights in 25 seconds.
4. Broad Jump 12 foot length in three attempts
5. Swimming Test 

For Women of all Categories :- 

1. Running 1600 meters 10 Minutes
2. Cycling 1600 meters in 7 Minutes
3. low Hurdles 60 cm Height 80 Meters with10 flights in 30 seconds
4. Broad Jump 9 foot in three attempts
5. Swimming test 

Physical Efficiency test  for S.I of Traffic (OMVD) :- 

Viva-voce test :- 

Candidate qualifying in the Physical test shall be allowed to appear the viva-voce test which will carry 20  marks.
