Out of the total 177no.s. Assistant Fishers Officer Vacancies mentioned above, 05 post is reserved for Ex-servicemen as per the Odisha Ex-Serviceman and 2nos. Post is reserved for sports person. In the event of Non-availability or availability of insufficient number of eligible women candidates belonging to any particular Category the vacancies or the remaining vacancies will be filled up by male Candidates of that Category.

A candidate must be under 32 years and above 21 years of age on the 1st day of January of the year in which application are invited.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST, Women and Ex-Servicemen and 10 years and 10 years for Physical handicapped Candidates.
(The date of birth entered in the High School Certificate or Equivalent certificate issued by the Concerned Board/Council will only be accepted by the commission)
A Candidate is belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes and persons with disabilities whose disability is not less than forty percent are exempted from payment of fee.
The Selection of Candidates for Recruitment to the Post will made by way of Direct Recruitment through competitive Examination.
