Upcoming district police constable recruitment selection process & syllabus. 

The posts of Constable in Civil police shall constitute a service for each Police District shall constitute a separate district the purpose of recruitment. The posts of Constable in each District cadres shall be filled up by way of direct recruitment through the open competition Examination.

Educational Qualification :- 

Have passed +2 Examination or Equivalent Examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha or by any other recognized Board/Council.

Age Limit :- 

Not be less than 18 years age and not more than 23 years of age on the first day of January of the year advertisement for recruitment is published.

Details Physical Standard  

Recruitment Process :- The Recruitment Process shall comprise of :-

1. Written Examination
2. Physical Standards
3. Physical Efficiency Test
4. Driving Test (optional)

Written Examination :- 100 Marks

Vacancy Position :- 1908

The candidate shall be required to appear a written examination which shall consist of objective type multiple choice questions only. The Examination shall be conducted in a transparent manner suing OMR/OCR/CBT.

The questions in the written examination shall comprise of Odia Language, English Language, Arithmetic, General Knowledge, Situational Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Basic computer Knowledge. The standard of the questions shall be such that who has passed +2 Examination will be able to answer. There shall be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in written examination.

The medium of written examination shall be English Except the questions in Odia Language.

Physical Efficiency Test for men :- (Qualifying only)

1. 1.6 Kilometers in 6 minutes 30 seconds
2. Broad jump – 3.66 meter in 3 attempt

Physical Efficiency Test for Women :- (Qualifying only)

1. 1.6 Kilometers in 8 minutes 30 seconds
2. Broad jump – 2.75 meter in 3 attempt
