Job profile :-

Soil and moisture conservation works are being taken up on watershed platform through holistic development plans by involving the communities. Keeping in view the changed governance system, the technical cadre of Directorate of Soil Conservation has been strengthened and in order to meet the current challenges in implementation of livelihoods based watershed programmes. At present, the Soil Conservation field functionaries are playing pivotal roles in implementation of Soil Conservation and Watershed development Programmes in the State. The Assistant Soil Conservation Officers have been nominated as full time Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) for implementation of watershed programmes and its supporting staffing pattern aims at delivering the much need extension services to the community at the watershed cluster level.

Age Limit :- 

A Candidate must have attained the age of 21  years and must not be above the age of 38 years on the 1st day of January 2023. Provided that the upper age limit shall be relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to the categories of SC,ST,SEBC, Ex-serviceman and Women and by 10  years for persons with Disabilities whose permanent disability is 40%.

Educational Qualification :-

A Candidate must have possessed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture or Bachelor of Science Degree in Horticulture or Bachelor Degree in Agriculture Engineering or Bachelor of Science Degree in Foresty from any recognized University or Institutions.

Method of Selection :- 

The selection of candidates for Recruitment to the posts will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Competitive Recruitment Examination (Written Test & Interview).

The Written Test shall comprise of two papers namely Paper – 1 & Paper – 2 together carrying 200 marks i.e 100 marks for each paper which shall be of MCQ Pattern.

The Number of Questions in each paper shall be 100 each carrying one mark.

The duration of examination shall be one and half hour for  each paper.
