OJS Educational Qualification :

• A Candidate must be a graduate in Law of a recognized University or Institutions recognized by the Government.
• A Superintendent or a Ministerial Officer in the High Court or any Civil or Criminal Court sub-ordinate to the High Court, or an Assistant Law Officer or Translator of the Law Department of Government, Shall also be elgible for appearing at the competative examination.

• Specific Relief Act.
• The protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005

OJS Main Written Examination : (150 Marks 150 Minutes)

1. General English :- (150 Marks)
   • Translation and retranslation of ten lines each
   • A short essay of about 150 words
   • precis writing consisting of 300 words
   • 1 passage of about 500 words with 5 questions
2. Procedural Laws :- (150 Marks)
   • The code of criminal procedure, 1973
   • The code of civil procedure, 1908
   • The Indian Evidence Act, 1872
3. Optional Papers : A Candidate may choose any of three subjects among the following
   1.  Law of Crime & Laws of Torts : 150 Marks
   2. Personal Law : 150 Marks
      1. Hindu Law
      2. Mohammedan Law
   3. Law of Property : 150 Marks
      1. Transfer of property act, 1882
      2. Specific Relief Act, 1963
      3. Indian Limitation Act, 1963
   4. Law of Contract : 150 Marks
      1. Indian Contract Act, 1872
      2. Sales of Goods Act, 1930
      3. Partnership Act, 1932
      4. Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881

OJS Interview :

• Interview shall carry 100 marks.
