Age Limit :
- Maximum Age Limit : 45 years
- Minimum Age Limit : 21 Years
- He or She must have been born not earlier than 17/04/1979 and not later than 16/04/2003
- The upper age limt prescribed above is relaxable by 05 years for candidates SC/ST/SEBC/Women and by 10 years for PwD.

Educational Qualification :
- Possess a Master’s Degree, with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade, in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.
- Provided that for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC &PwD Categores the requirement of securing at least 55% marks shall be reduced to 50% marks or its equivalent grade.
- Have cleared National Eligibility Test meant for appointment of Assistant Proessor (Stage-I) or must have acquired Ph.D. Degree in the relevant subject from an Indian University.
Method of Selection :
- Selection for direct recruitment to the rank of Assistant Proessor (Stage-I) shall be made by the commission on the basis of merit to be judged by performance in interview of eligible shortlised candidates.
- Based on the data provided by the candidates in their online application form, candidates shall be shortlisted for document verification in the ratio of :6 for vacancies more than 02 and for vacancies up to 2, the number of candidates to be called for document verification shall be 12.
- The Commission hve decided that 03 times the number of vacancies shall be shortlisted for interview when the number of vacancies is more than 02. In cases, wehere there are only one or two vacancies, 10 candidates shall be shortlised for interview.
